"Will the Circle be Unbroken"

The Hotel had a problem with Internet connection yesterday but all fixed now, and I must admit for the first time a big hotel WiFi speed ain't too bad...

Up and out, again a lot to do but first breakfast, it's going to be like the laundrette situation but we are saved by a kind young man on a Segway who points us in the right direction.

We end up a place called Puckett's Groceries - Eatery & Live Music.... Its a family orientated place and the food is pretty good.

Our first point of call is the Mother Church when it comes to Country Music....

This place has held many different venues over the years, from religious meetings, opera, plays to finally hosting the Grand Ole Opry which is probably what it is most famous for. It has been total renovated and now again being used as a music venue, by all accounts the acoustic are second to none due to its shape and the wooden benches.
A little known fact, did you know that the great W.C. Fields was once a World class juggler, thats what billing had him down as....

This place was also famous for a music hero of mine, Johnny Cash who held this place in high regard and played here a great number of times with other artists that were part of his show.
One of many of his guitars that that I will see today...

We spend a good hour an half here before we move a little way downtown to the County Music Museum.... Hee Haw....

They are taking down the stuff from the CMA show last night and the tower cranes are there due to building an enormous music theatre opposite the museum

This the outside of the Country Music hall of Fame

And you thought the rock guitarist were fist to come with the double neck, here is triple neck, eat your heart out Jimmy Page...
We spend over four hours here a record for Alison and a museum... Well worth a visit, a must do...

Inside the hall of fame, one surprise was Elvis's plaque, all the others are definitely country music people.

A fantastic picture representing all the aspects of America life that help mould country music

Downtown Nashville

It's been a long day an we head back to Hotel before we start the evening

This place is full of Art Deco buildings

And the modern

We spend our last evening at Puckett's listening to Bluegrass from the Shelby Bottom String Band.

A Hurricane...

We hit the road again tomorrow....

Just a little road Art

The map from our trip here.
